I’m a former journalist turned communications fixer.
I’ve spent over 20 years inside organizations where communications are stretched, under-resourced, and quietly breaking down—and I know exactly where things go wrong.
I’ve worked in newsrooms, healthcare, nonprofits, and community organizations—places where the stakes are high, the resources are tight, and communications often end up held together with duct tape and good intentions.
I started my career in television news and documentary production, where clarity matters and fluff doesn’t survive. From there, I moved into communications roles supporting organizations like TVOntario and Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth, and later worked with hospital foundations, food security organizations, and community-based teams across Ontario.
What I saw—over and over again—wasn’t a lack of effort or intelligence.
It was systems that didn’t make sense anymore.
Messaging that had drifted.
Websites that no longer reflected reality.
Content being produced because “we should,” not because it worked.
And teams trying to hold it all together without the time or structure to fix it properly.
That’s the work I do now.
I come in, figure out what’s broken, and fix it—whether that’s your messaging, your website, your content, or the way everything fits together.
